During the past few weeks we have
studied collective nouns and possessive nouns. This week we are looking at Abstract
Nouns.
An abstract noun describes a feeling or an idea. You cannot see or touch an abstract
noun.
Many abstract nouns are formed by adding
endings such as meant, tion, ance and ence.
For example
if we add meant to content we form the abstract noun contentment.
